The fresh water angler is more than just a catcher of fish or a winner of trophies. To him, adherence to the ethical code of fly fishing with its wealth of tradition goes without saying. In addition, he takes pride in knowing what fish he has caught. Mpumalanga (then Transvaal) is blessed with a wealth of fish and species which do not occur further south in South Africa due to the southern limit of the distribution of many fish species. In this book, the authors present them in all their glory of form and colour, convinced that knowledge of nature serves to cultivate respect for them. The text and full colour illustrations for the book were prepared by the Nature Conservation branch of the Transvaal Provincial Administration, while SAB undertook to finance the publication to make it available to anglers at the lowest possible cost at the time. Hardcover, 108 pages, 21cm x 14cm.
Very good condition.
