This is the story about the travels of a man with an obsession for fly fishing. A retired naval officer in his mid-fifties who has dedicated his retirement to pursuing his lifelong interest, and who plans two detailed safaris - one around the southern hemisphere and one around the north. He takes with him water colours, cameras, notebooks and rods to experience, record and illustrate, single-handedly, over 40 different fly fishing locations around the world. A daunting task covering 150,000 kilometres, 16 countries and 260 fly-hooked fish in 178 days of overseas travel. Yet the results are clear and the narrative evokes the atmosphere of each country succinctly, and is ably supported by his haunting water colours and photography. Good condition. Hardcover, 28cm x 22cm, 216 pages.
